During cruising or racing, the Garmin smartwatch Tack Assist can be very helpful in tacking accurately for the port or starboard tack angle.
- Choose START from the watch face
- Pick Sail Race or Sail option
- Scroll UP or DOWN for viewing the tack assist screen
- Press START
- Then choose an option: START for calculating the starboard side tack, or DOWN for calculating the port side tack
