Yacht owners can also connect Garmin chartplotters to their mobile phones. With a remote device, like a wind sensor, Garmin Chartplotters can be configured to connect to the remote Wind Sensor to view data on the gauge. In addition, data can be viewed from the Garmin watches. The wireless remote control can be disabled if yacht owners feel it is safe to do so.
